THE STANDARD PARIS PHOTOS
We started by hitting some of the most well known tourist spots, for those must have photos. We visited the Louvre Museum, got the standard Pyramid pic and moved on. Afterwards we made our way up to the Sacré-Cœur. Although this spot is super touristy, I love the streets leading up to it. There are many photo opportunities waiting to happen there. These two are a must if you only have 1 Night in Paris. Unless you’ve been before, then there is much more to discover!
CUP OF TEA THEN THE MUSéE
The next phase was an important one, tea and photos! The place we went has to be one of the most beautiful restaurant interiors in Europe. Le Train Bleu is located in one of Paris’s biggest stations, Gare de Lyon. The restaurant was classed as a historical site in the 70s and it’s easy to see why. Beautifully painted ceilings and that sense of classic luxury. Perfect place to stop, rest & drink some tea. Okay, we are ready!
We really wanted to visit the Musée d’Orsay. This was not only to have a walk around inside, but because of the amazing building. On the top floor is a restaurant with an amazing feature. You realise when you get there that you are sitting behind the clock. This makes for a great photo opportunity and worth checking out.
AND FINALLY: tour Eiffel
Okay, what would any tour of the city need to be complete? You guessed it… The Eiffel Tower. As cliche as it may seem, you cannot deny how beautiful it looks, especially at sunset. I do advise though, that if you want to get really nice photos: go right after sunrise. Any other time of the day there will be swarms of people looking for their next FB profile pic.
It was a great trip. Short but sweet. Is 1 night in Paris enough time? I would have to say no. But honestly I would never really need more than 2 or 3. There are many other great places to see outside of the major cities. Plus not to forget all of the other places Europe has to offer!
